White peaks

At ONE, we love snow. Or at least, some of us do. So in February we turned our eyes towards the Alps for a few days on the slopes. Like in 2023, we were very lucky because after a mostly dry month it started snowing right before we arrived. Our group included 2 avid skiers and 2 snowboarders. This was unfortunately less than the previous years due to sickness and other responsibilities.

We left Tuesday after work and drove to Munich for a quick nap before driving the last stretch to Kaprun. Our default choice of accommodation is Hotel Active by Leitner because of their friendly staff, great breakfast and proximity to the Kitzsteinhorn glacier whilst still being close enough to Saalbach and Leogang.

The next four days were a mix of everything. Sun and warmer temperatures gave us ample opportunities to enjoy food and drinks on the many terrasses, but also made for slushy slopes with huge bumps. The Friday was cloudy with some sleet but the slopes remained in better shape. We closed of the days with some rest and relaxation in the sauna.
