Challenge

The client’s challenge was that standard monitoring in SAP provided only limited visibility. It lacked flexibility to adapt to their specific needs, offered insufficient detail to truly understand performance issues, and was not intuitive to navigate. As a result, they were left with basic statistics that didn’t provide deeper insights needed to identify root causes or take proactive action.

We monitor refresh failures, track problematic data retries, and focus on intensive queries by surfacing the most resource-heavy statements, additionally providing visibility into resource consumption across SAP Datasphere spaces to highlight usage patterns and potential imbalances. We focus on proactive governance - giving the client clear accountability, faster decision-making, and better control over their Datasphere landscape. 

Finally, we visualize everything in SAP Analytics Cloud, enabling clear views of trends, usage spikes, and seamless drill-through from high- to low-level insights.

Space-level monitoring that clearly presents memory and disk usage per Datasphere space. By structuring the data around business-relevant spaces, the client can now immediately identify which areas are driving consumption. Additionally, threshold-based highlighting (with red indicators when standards are exceeded) provides an intuitive early warning system, allowing teams to act before issues impact performance or stability.
